Hayfield & High Peak Pilates 

Invest in yourself! Pilates is an incredible exercise system that balances the body, strengthens and lengthens the muscles and focuses the mind. 

We offer group classes which take place in the village hall in Hayfield, High Peak on Tuesday evenings and Monday & Thursday mornings. Sessions last an hour and are priced at £7.50 on a drop in basis. The classes are run by our Chartered Physiotherapist, Mike Hunter. Mike was trained by the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Association (APPI) and has been teaching Pilates in Hayfield since 2011. 

 

The history of Pilates

Pilates was developed by German-born Joseph Pilates, who believed mental and physical health were closely connected. His method was influenced by western forms of exercise, including gymnastics, boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling.
